Head Teacher Welcome
It is my very great pleasure to welcome you to Haynes Lower School.
As Head Teacher, I feel incredibly privileged to lead such a special school and to work alongside our wonderful children, dedicated staff, supportive families and governors. Haynes Lower School is a place where children are genuinely at the heart of everything we do, and where we strive every day to create an environment in which every child feels happy, safe, valued and inspired to learn.
We are proud to be a warm, nurturing and inclusive school where children are encouraged to be themselves, to discover what they are capable of and to celebrate their own unique strengths. We believe that every child has something special to offer and that, with the right encouragement, support and opportunities, every child can shine.
At Haynes, we want to honour our children and let our children be little, whilst striving for ambition. We want them to enjoy their childhood, to be curious, to have fun, to make friends and to create wonderful memories, whilst developing the knowledge, skills, confidence and resilience they need to flourish as they grow.
Our school is a place where relationships matter. We know our children well and take the time to listen to them, understand them and celebrate their successes, both big and small. We have high expectations of every child, not only academically but also in the way they treat others, contribute to our community and develop as kind, confident and responsible young people.
We are fortunate to have an incredibly committed and caring team who give so much to our children. Their passion for teaching and learning, alongside their determination to ensure that every child reaches their potential, is one of the greatest strengths of our school. Together, we continually reflect, develop and strive to make Haynes the very best it can be.
We also recognise the important role that parents and families play in a child's education. We value the strong partnerships we have with our families and believe that children achieve their very best when home and school work together. We want our families to feel welcomed, listened to and proud to be part of our school community.
There is a wonderful sense of belonging at Haynes Lower School. We are proud of our school, proud of our children and proud of the community we have created together. Our aim is simple: to ensure that every child who walks through our doors feels that they belong, knows that they matter and leaves us believing that they can achieve great things.
